Josh Zuckerman
This out musician has released two CDs (“Out From Under” and “A Totally New Sensation”) to great reviews. He is spreading his music across the globe, having toured over 15 different countries. Melissa Reaves
Reaves is a powerful vocalist and guitar player whose rock, funk and R&B-based sound has delighted audiences throughout the U.S. and Europe for more than a decade. In 1999, she won the Lilith Fair Talent Search for the Charlotte area and performed on the main stage with Sheryl Crow and Sarah McLachlan. Jimmy Roland
Roland thrills audiences with a voice that recalls Luther Vandross. Christy Snow
This lesbian acoustic artist joins us again as an emcee and performer. She began performing professionally in 1991. After leaving her job as a marketing specialist in 1999, she started touring full-time at women’s music festivals, folk festivals, folk venues and churches. Christy’s diverse style of music has been described as both playful and spiritual, as she leads listeners on a path of empowerment, self-love and present-moment awareness. www.christysnow.com.
The Near Misses
This all-female quartet features some of N.C.’s finest vocal talent. The Misses perform an eclectic blend of originals, drawing upon American roots, rock, pop, contemporary folk, country and jazz influences. One Voice Chorus
One Voice is the gay, lesbian and gay-affirmative Chorus of Charlotte. With its non-auditioned singing members from all walks of life, One Voice exists to present a face and voice of the LGBT community at a time when visibility and understanding are paramount. In fact, it’s the Chorus’ mission to use music to reach diverse groups in order to promote inclusion of LGBT people. Sotto Voce, an auditioned ensemble of One Voice, provides a “portable” element to the full Chorus, performing at a number of public events throughout the year. www.onevoicechorus.com.
The Queen City Outlaws
This offshoot of Southern Country Charlotte has made it their mission to support local charities and LGBT events while promoting country and western music and dance to the general community. One Spirit Choir
Even without the spiritual context, the sound of the Unity Fellowship Church of Charlotte’s One Spirit Choir could
