Shara Styles, 42, of Columbia, S.C., passed away Feb. 26, 2008. She was the daughter of Carolyn Poole Lancaster and the late Louie Erwin Styles. She was a member of the Garden of Grace United Church of Christ in Columbia, S.C.
Shara served on the 2007 S.C. Gay and Lesbian Pride Movement committee and the board of the S.C. Gay and Lesbian Business Guild. A memorial service was held at Garden of Grace United Church of Christ on March 17.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association of South Carolina, 2711 Middleburg Dr., Suite 205, Columbia, SC 29204.
