The Charlotte region’s largest LGBT Pride festival has announced the dates for this year’s Miss Pride Charlotte Pageant. The new pageant system features preliminaries at several LGBT establishments across the greater Charlotte area.

Six organizations are participating in the pageant system this year, including Scorpio, the Charlotte Eagle, Liaisons, the Hide-A-Way, Night Owls and the Actors’ Theatre of Charlotte. Scorpio’s pageant was held on May 15.

The final, where Miss Pride Charlotte will be crowned, will be held at Scorpio on July 10 at 9 p.m. Dates of preliminaries are included below.

Each pageant will have a theme for the night. Those announced at press time included the Charlotte Eagle’s “Leather & Lace,” Actors’ Theatre’s “A Queen in Color” and the final’s “Out is in…Style,” an homage to the Pride Charlotte 2009 theme, “Out is in.”
